Visit with us

You are very welcome to visit with us!

Our Sunday Worship Services are every Sunday afternoon from 12:30-2:30pm (we meet in the afternoon rather than the morning because it’s the only time we’ve been able to find an available venue).

We meet in the “Founders’ Hall” of St. Columba’s Presbyterian Church at 327 Hilda Street, Hatfield, Pretoria (for a map, please click here. For information about the transport we provide, please click here).

Our worship services include prayer, Bible reading, singing together, and a sermon taught from God’s Word, the Bible. During the last 15 minutes of our Worship Service, we may spend some time together in prayer, take communion together, or take a few minutes for anyone from the congregation to ask the preacher any questions they may have about what was taught and how it applies to their life.

We are a very diverse church family – when you visit with us you can expect to meet people from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life, both from South Africa and from several other countries (including Zimbabwe, DRC, other African countries, the USA, and Mexico).

Our Worship Services are in English. We try to use simple English to help the many people in our church who do not speak English as a first language. We also sing a few songs in other languages spoken by our church members (Swahili, Shona, Sepedi, etc).

We do not have a “dress code” – some of our people dress quite casually and some dress quite formally.

We provide a crèche for children ages 0-1 during the worship service, and we have a “Children’s Church” service for children ages 2-4.

Transport is provided to and from church, and visitors are welcome to make use of this service. For details, please click here.

One Sunday per month (normally the first Sunday of the month) we also have a Communion Service and All-Church Meal. We eat together, sing together, enjoy a devotional teaching about Jesus and what He has accomplished for us, and remember Jesus’ death on our behalf by taking communion together. Though taking communion is reserved for Christians, everyone is welcome to attend the meal and service. Childcare is provided for those who need it (3pm-5pm).
